Purchasing Officer

Join our state‑of‑the‑art Visy Board facility in Truganina as a Purchasing Officer, supporting the maintenance and engineering teams with end‑to‑end procurement, vendor management and maintenance administration. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role that ensures spare parts and consumables are sourced efficiently, systems are optimised, and plant operations run smoothly. What You’ll Do: Coordinate purchasing for spare parts, materials and consumables. Manage inventory, stock levels, master data and ERP records. Source parts locally and internationally, including handling logistics and customs. Build & maintain vendor relationships and monitor performance. Negotiate pricing and track cost savings to achieve best value for money. Support maintenance planning, scheduling, reporting and KPI tracking. What You Will Bring: Experience in purchasing or supply chain coordination within manufacturing or industrial settings. ERP/MRP experience (SAP preferred). Strong analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reporting). Excellent communication and organisational skills. Forklift licence (advantageous).
