About The Opportunity As Risk and Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role, working closely with the Head of Legal and Risk, Executive and wider senior management to drive the development and implementation of enterprise risk and assurance governance, managing a small team. This senior role empowers business units, drives a robust risk culture, and provides strategic insights to senior management, Executive and the Board. This position is integral to ensuring that our enterprise risk management capabilities support the achievement of our strategic priorities; facilitating innovation, organisational resilience, and advising on emerging risk trends in a dynamic, technology‑enabled environment. This role will embrace and implement technological advances to support the development of enterprise strategy, through deeper and near real‑time data‑driven insights. Key Responsibilities Oversee the operation of, and continually strengthen the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) Provide strategic risk and assurance advice to the Head of Legal and Risk, Executive, senior management and the Board Lead and develop a small team, fostering collaboration and capability growth and high performance Advise on emerging internal and external risk developments and trends, including technology developments Oversee risk management operational processes, reporting, and organisation‑wide training and awareness Manage Healthdirect’s insurance program in collaboration with brokers and internal stakeholders Shift the organisation’s risk approach from operational to strategic, using influence and data‑driven insights Qualifications Minimum 8 years’ experience in enterprise risk management at mid to senior management level Experience in a complex and compliance‑driven environment Proven ability to embed risk and assurance management into business operations and culture Excellent understanding of risk governance, internal audit, and fraud and corruption control Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including Board‑level reporting experience Strong stakeholder influencing, management, and leadership skills Relevant professional certification (e.g., ISO 31000) and tertiary qualifications in a related discipline Proven familiarity with the use of modern tools and real‑time data analytics Why Work With Us We believe our strength comes from our talented and dedicated staff.
