About the Role You’ll be working alongside our experienced landscaping team on a variety of hardscape construction projects, including: Paving & Pathways Retaining Walls Excavation & Site Prep Stonework & Masonry Roles and Responsibilities Working with timber, brick, stone, concrete and a range of hardscape materials. Solid understanding of outdoor construction practices and installation techniques. Able to deliver hard landscaping works according to drawings, scope and specifications. Measuring, calculating quantities and ordering of any additional materials as required. Communicate effectively & efficiently in a professional manner with builders/clients and to co-ordinate works with other trades. Be pro-active to eliminate or reduce hazardous work conditions and reviewing work methods as required. Qualifications A minimum of 3–5 years' hands-on experience in structural landscape construction. Demonstrated experience in structural landscaping or comparable construction work. Competence with timber, brick, stone, concrete, and a variety of hardscape materials. Experience with preparing and laying pavers, including screeding, cutting, and compacting. Ability to assist with building retaining walls using blocks, sleepers, or stone. Familiarity with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques. Experience in basic excavation, trenching, and site preparation. Ability to read and follow site plans, levels, and measurements. Skilled in operating hand tools and small machinery such as compactors, demo saws, jackhammers, and augers. Experience in implementing Workplace Health & Safety procedures and policies, including following SWMS, conducting Toolbox Talks etc. A current driver's license. Access to a ute or vehicle (preferable). Experience in landscaping construction industry (highly regarded). A current Construction White Card.
