Geology Technician

About the role This residential position works a 7/7 roster working 12 hours per shift. The primary purpose of this position is the management of the core sample preparation, sampling, despatch, and storage/disposal. The Geology Technician will assist with site preparation and site rehabilitation activities or other surface exploration activities when required. The role may require the individual to be able to work remotely and navigate and implement required tasks while minimising the environmental and community impacts at every opportunity. This will include campaigns covering diamond drilling, RC, air core, soil sampling and use of augers. Reporting to the Senior Geology Technician, your duties will include: Diamond drill core sample preparation, sampling, despatch, and storage/disposal. Contractor liaison and supervision Aid with surface diamond drill site preparation/rehabilitation as required Operate machinery such as 4WD vehicles, forklifts, backhoes, and telehandlers as required The successful candidate should possess the following: High level of motivation.
