Electrical Engineering Manager - Data Centre Operations Join to apply for the Electrical Engineering Manager - Data Centre Operations role at Mission Critical Location: Melbourne Salary: $180,000 - $190,000+ super, bonus and benefits MCR are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Site Engineer to act as electrical lead and subject matter expert for data centre facility operations. Working directly for an owner / operator of large-scale data centre sites, you will be a key part of a team tasked with developing operational excellence across the portfolio. In this newly created role, the Electrical Engineering Lead will be part of the leadership team on‑site, overseeing maintenance programs and assisting with the implementation of procedures and policies as the data centre portfolio expands. We are seeking an experienced engineer or tradesperson with strong leadership and supervisory experience. This will be complemented with in‑depth knowledge of electrical infrastructure in critical environments. Responsibilities Supervise and lead the site‑based teams, contractors and vendors Act as Subject Matter Expert for all electrical related equipment and systems Manage on‑site vendors and contractors including all deliverables Ensure continued uptime and maintain site resilience Develop SOPs and MOPs and ensure that they are up to date and adhered to Support site projects and commissioning Requirements Over 5 years' supervisory / management experience in data centre or other mission critical operations management Experience in leading maintenance teams Experience in managing preventative maintenance programs Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment - UPS, HV, Switchgear etc Strong communicator with ability to manage both internal and external customers Relevant degree / qualifications of equivalent work experience / trade or licences Please note we can only accept applications from Australian Citizens, or those that have eligibility to apply for Australian Citizenship, due to the requirement for security clearance.
