This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, generous retention bonus included in the package. Duties include but not limited to; Preparation of income tax returns, working papers, and tax effect calculations for half-year and year-end reporting. Conducting technical tax research and documenting positions taken. Providing tax advice for international jurisdictions and supporting compliance obligations. Preparing tax forecasts for Group cashflow and managing PAYG instalment rates. Supporting tax improvement initiatives, including control testing and implementing audit recommendations. Assisting with fixed asset register preparation and implementing new tax technology solutions. Driving the adoption of tax technology across the function. Supporting FBT and employment tax advisory work. Assisting with ATO audit and review processes. About you CA/CPA qualified with extensive experience in Corporate Tax Public practice experience needs to demonstrate an exposure to large ASX listed clients (Typically obtained in a big 4 or large mid-tier firm) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent. Experience using Thomson’s OneSource corporate tax software is desirable. Strong tax effect preparation experience is essential, preferably within the mining industry. Pronto (or similar ERP) experience is desirable.
