Why Maitland Hospital Maitland Hospital has now transitioned to a new facility in January 2022 with state‑of‑the‑art technology in patient care. It embraces technology and innovation, allowing staff new, improved ways to work that will deliver better health outcomes. Maitland ED and the newly opened 8‑bed Emergency Short Stay Unit (ESSU) support flow and care for our patients. Successful candidates will be required to work within the Emergency Department including the ESSU.
