An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced tax professional to take on a senior leadership role with broad responsibility for tax governance and compliance. This role comes with a very attractive salary and bonus package, commensurate with the seniority of the position. This a key appointment which involves shaping the strategic direction of the group’s tax function and driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and frameworks. About the Role This role will lead a team, overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting and risk management. Advising senior finance and commercial stakeholders, the role combines hands‑on technical oversight with strategic leadership and transformation delivery. Key focus areas include: Managing end-to-end tax compliance across direct, indirect and employment taxes, including transfer pricing and tax‑effect accounting. Overseeing preparation and review of tax returns, disclosures and reporting, ensuring alignment with the group’s governance framework. Leading engagement with external advisers, auditors and tax authorities. Maintaining a proactive approach to tax risk management through development and testing of controls and policies. Identifying and implementing process efficiencies, automation opportunities and system enhancements. Providing pragmatic, commercially sound tax advice on transactions, projects and operational matters. Supporting the continuous development of team capability and fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture. About You The successful candidate will demonstrate: A background in a leading professional services firm combined with in‑house experience in a complex corporate environment. Deep expertise across corporate income tax, governance and tax effect accounting Proven success leading and mentoring teams across multiple locations. Experience delivering transformation or process improvement initiatives within a tax or finance function. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively at all levels. A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving business.
