Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Preparatory to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. Ravenswood offers the HSC, the IB Diploma Programme and the PYP in the Junior School. Position We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and thoughtful Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team on a temporary part‑time basis, approximately 0.8 FTE, spread across 5 days. The position will commence ideally at the beginning of Term 1 and is temporary until the end of Term 2, 2026. Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Religious Education lessons for Years 7–12, including HSC Studies of Religion. Develop engaging and academically rigorous curriculum that reflects Christian theology and encourages critical thinking. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes discussion, reflection and independent learning. Collaborate with colleagues, participate in school meetings, and contribute to the whole‑school approach to Positive Education. Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching and learning. Qualifications Strong knowledge and personal understanding of Christian theology. Ability to teach Religious Education for students from Year 7‑12 and to teach HSC Studies of Religion. Experience differentiating instruction and assessing student learning. Commitment to Social Justice initiatives. Strong ICT skills and a flexible, collegial approach.
