Digital Platforms Officer Permanent Full Time • $84,200 – $97,100 + 12% super • Based in Armadale | Flexible work options available • New Industrial Agreement = pay rises locked in for July 2026 If you love solving complex digital puzzles, modernising systems, and being the person who keeps critical tech running, this role is for you. With 40+ core business platforms (not including ERP), we’re building capability, reducing single points of failure, and improving how our teams and community experience technology. You won't be “just supporting a website”; you’ll help stabilise, integrate, and uplift an ecosystem. This is your chance to work somewhere that values curiosity, problem-solving, and fresh ideas. About the Role Stabilise and modernise 40+ digital platforms used by over 750 staff. Reduce single points of failure and improve platform reliability across the organisation. Build lightweight enhancements, including scripts, workflows, automations and web updates. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, becoming the go‑to person when the tech matters most. Support platform improvements, upgrades, lifecycle planning, and governance. Work collaboratively in a team that values new ideas, user experience, and smarter ways of doing things. Contribute to sprint planning and continuous improvement. In Your First 12 Months, You Will Take ownership of several key platforms and improve their stability. Deliver enhancements that save time, improve usability, or reduce risk. Identify and reduce at least two major single points of failure. Build strong relationships with business users across the City. Contribute to better documentation, governance, and platform processes. Help shape how our organisation interacts with digital systems. About You A background in software development, web development, scripting, or systems integration. Experience supporting multiple digital platforms, not just one. Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with unusual or complex issues. Ability to analyse, diagnose, and resolve problems efficiently and logically. Confidence to challenge the status quo when a better or smarter solution exists. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Ability to prioritise competing tasks and justify your decision‑making. Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to improve and learn.
