About the Role We are looking for an experienced Deputy Project Manager to support the successful delivery of project outcomes by providing leadership, project administration, and procurement support. Working as part of the project management team, this role will coordinate and maintain key planning documentation, including financial spreadsheets and procurement artefacts. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Work directly with the Project Manager to help implement project deliverables. Oversee specific project deliverables and assign tasks to team members as required. Liaise and coordinate with related projects to manage cross-program schedule dependencies. Lead the development of procurement documentation, engage with vendors, and facilitate approvals for materials, services, and other procurement requirements. Participate in meetings with Defence customers and supporting service providers. Prepare and provide reports on resource usage, financial activities, and procurement status, including early identification of any risks or delays. Contribute to project schedule and budget inputs for project management reporting. Provide general project administration support as needed Requirements and Experience Strong communication skills with excellent verbal and written abilities. Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement — preferably within a government environment. Ability to influence effectively across all levels of an organisation and engage confidently in various forums. Team-oriented with the ability to participate in meetings and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders. Highly motivated, proactive, and able to progress tasks independently. Strong planning and time management capabilities. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. Why Fujitsu?
