Role Title: Assistant in Nursing, Day Surgery/Endoscopy Unit Role Type: Casual Location: The Mater Hospital, North Sydney Salary: 28.19 – 30.94 AUD base per hour About The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a second or third year university nursing student looking for a development opportunity within the Hospital Clinical setting. The Mater Day surgery and Endoscopy is currently expanding, and the successful candidate will play a significant role in this growth. Patient centred clinical practice in accordance with recognised standards. Ensure safety of patients and staff by designing effective and efficient systems and processes of care. About You 2nd or 3rd year nursing student, or TAFE Certificate III in acute care. A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of St Vincent’s Health Australia. About The Mater In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney. One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals. Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway. The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres. Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
