Let’s make a meaningful difference, together Your part in our UnitingCare team We are currently seeking to appoint a Family Counsellor to work as part of our UnitingCare Family and Relationship Service based at Gympie. Responsibilities Provide individual, couple and group counselling and education to strengthen family relationships Prevent breakdown and ensure the wellbeing and safety of children and adults in all families Qualifications and Experience Sound knowledge of and demonstrated ability to provide counselling and related services within a therapeutic context to clients with issues including domestic and family violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, relationship discord, grief and loss. High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication and advocacy skills. Proven ability to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team in a complex human services environment. What Makes a Difference for Us Possession of a Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution coupled with prior experience.
