Let’s make a meaningful difference, together Your part in our UnitingCare team We are currently seeking to appoint a Family Counsellor to work as part of our UnitingCare Family and Relationship Service based at Gympie. Responsibilities Provides individual, couple and group counselling and education with an aim to strengthen family relationships Prevents breakdown and ensures the wellbeing and safety of children and adults who live in all kinds of families Essential to the role Sound knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to provide counselling and related services within a therapeutic context to a range of clients with issues including, but not limited to, domestic and family violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, relationship discord and grief and loss. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication and advocacy skills are required along with a proven ability to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team in a complex human services environment.
