We’re growing in Sunshine Coast, bringing together a passionate team in Children, Youth and Family Services who provide care, guidance, and support to help young people build confidence, independence, and connection. As a valued member of our Kanda team, you will: Provide hands‑on care and guidance to young people in a safe and supportive home environment where they can grow, learn and thrive. Help create and follow individual care plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Support young people with daily living activities and their understanding of self‑care, education and recreational activities. Build trusting relationships by offering encouragement, stability, safety and emotional support. Keep accurate and professional records and documentation. What You’ll Love About Working with Kanda Comprehensive training and ongoing development, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and The Sanctuary Model. Bring flexibility to your week by working a mix of day, evening and sleepover shifts (6:00am – 2:00pm, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, and 10:00pm – 6:00am ). Shift times may vary, providing variety and work‑life balance. Wellbeing support through the Sonder app, free 24/7 confidential support and resources. A workplace culture where every voice matters and where your growth and wellbeing are a priority. To join our team, you’ll need: A current driver’s licence (Minimum of a P2). A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or be eligible to obtain these). Have completed, or are willing to enrol in, a Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant field. Experience with young people or in related areas (disability, mental health, aged care, childcare) is preferred, but not required ; we welcome applicants who are eager to learn and grow.
