About the Role Our Blending Manager needs to be able to work within a dynamic and (at times) pressured environment. The successful candidate must be numeric, accurate, experienced and strive for excellence. They will lead our Blending Operations through a combination of hands‑on activities, process adherence and (in some cases), historical norms may need to be challenged and improved on. This is a pivotal role within our team. Ensuring consistent, high‑quality blends (to meet customer specifications), whilst fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment is a non‑negotiable Key Responsibilities: Lead and co‑ordinate blending activities across multiple shifts, Ensure blends are readily available for the production lines; in line with the Production Plan. Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and increasing throughput. Ensure blend consistency and compliance with customer specifications. Maintain and update SOPs; reinforced by team training and process adherence. Collaborate with Operations, NPD, Quality, Supply Chain & Planning; trials, projects & daily production. Manage blending team labour efficiently, in order to optimise cost and output. Support CAPEX planning & budgeting to drive systematic improvements in blending. Oversee safe storage and usage of ingredients and flavours; on a FIFO basis. Coach and mentor blending team members. Ensure accurate recording of waste, labour, blend books and costs within BOMs. Champion OH&S compliance and promote a safe, enjoyable workplace. What we are looking for? Qualifications: Tertiary education in Science, Mathematics, Food Science or a related field. Experience: 5+ years in batch production and precision blending. 3+ years in a leadership role within FMCG (Food/Beverage preferred). Good ERP/MRP system knowledge. Practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing and CI principles. Skills & Attributes: Analytical and process‑driven mindset. Commercially aware. Strong problem‑solving and planning skills. Financial acumen and cost awareness. Empathetic, fair, and team‑oriented leadership style. Commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.
