Carbon Logica Pty Ltd (Carbon Logica) is a private company established in 2022 to provide carbon abatement services to the mining industry. Carbon Logica is co-owned by Xcoal Mining and LMS Energy. The business joins together Xcoal’s extensive experience in operating and maintaining some of Australia’s gassiest coal mines and LMS’ capability to own, operate and maintain power generation fuelled by waste coal mine gas.The role of Engineering Manager (EM) will be responsible for leading the technical engineering and project delivery functions for Carbon Logica’s waste coal mine gas power stations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to improved environmental outcomes and the overall reduction of emissions in the resources sector.Our Commitment to youFlexible Working ArrangementsNew facilities with industry-leading technologyDrive innovative approaches to renewable energy with career progression opportunities availableHealth and wellbeing options and a supportive workplace with access to our unique Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Learning and development opportunities as a part of a supportive growing team environment with professional, safety and technical training opportunities on offerResponsibilities:Represent and clearly communicate Carbon Logica’s vision, values and purpose to key internal and external stakeholder groupsLeadership of the engineering function at Carbon Logica including project scheduling and resourcingDrive development and end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale renewable energy projectsCreation of project delivery plans for power projects with a value ranging from $5M to $100MDevelop and implement the engineering standards required to develop gas fired power stations in addition to the exploration of co-located BESS and solar projectsManage and direct multiple EPC contracts simultaneouslyMentor and guide the electrical engineering teamProvide technical support through continuous improvement, troubleshooting and fault findingProactively maintain strong relationships with Carbon Logica’s major internal and external shareholders including LMS and Xcoal Mining ServicesDrive a safety-first culture with zero risk tolerance and achievement of key safety KPIsEstablish and implement a proactive safety culture and supporting systems to underpin Carbon Logica operationsRequirements:Bachelor of Engineering Degree (mechanical/electrical/civil)Completion of Master of Business Administration (MBA) - preferredKnowledge and understanding of power generation, gas, renewable or energy industriesGreat work ethic, initiative and resilienceUpholds Carbon Logica’s company values and cultureAbility to troubleshoot and work autonomouslyIntrastate and interstate travelAustralian Driver’s LicenseEmployment is conditional upon a pre-employment medical and entitlement to work in Australia.Carbon Logica does not accept unsolicited resumes from agencies.
