What you will do Lead and coordinate the management of allegations against individuals working with children, in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children and Camden’s safeguarding procedures. Act as the primary point of contact for agencies, professionals, and employers regarding concerns about those in positions of trust. Provide timely and accurate advice on thresholds for LADO involvement and subsequent safeguarding actions. Receive, oversee, and record LADO referrals, ensuring sound decision‑making, risk assessment, and clear documentation. Chair and coordinate multi‑agency allegation management meetings, ensuring actions, outcomes, and follow‑up arrangements are clearly agreed. Maintain effective working relationships with police, children’s social care, HR teams, Ofsted, regulatory bodies, and employers. Ensure that investigations progress without delay and adhere to statutory guidance. Provide advice and support to organisations on safer recruitment, professional conduct, and safeguarding policy. Track, monitor, and review active LADO cases, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales and quality standards. Prepare reports, case summaries, and analysis for senior leaders, the Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership, and external inspectors. Contribute to safeguarding training and awareness‑building activities across the workforce. Promote a robust safeguarding culture, ensuring children’s welfare remains central to all decision‑making.
