About The Role The Director Professional Standards is responsible for driving integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organisation. This position leads the strategic development and implementation of professional standards, misconduct prevention, and education programs to foster a culture of integrity and transparency. Operating within a complex regulatory and operational environment, the role provides expert advice on sensitive and high-risk matters, oversees investigations into staff conduct, and ensures compliance with statutory obligations and internal policies. The role is pivotal in shaping and managing the organisation’s integrity framework, including corruption prevention, misconduct assessment, and critical incident reviews. As a key member of the executive team, the Director will lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as oversight bodies, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies to ensure best practice in governance and professional conduct. The role also contributes to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organisational resilience against misconduct and corruption. With a proven track record in shaping professional standards and governance frameworks, you thrive in complex regulatory and operational environments. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will provide guidance on misconduct prevention, investigations, and compliance, ensuring decisions are grounded in law, policy, and best practice. As someone motivated by the opportunity to shape an organisation’s integrity framework, you will champion ethical conduct at every level, ensuring the Department remains transparent and accountable. This position is a Multiple Area Leader. This means that you will lead teams to achieve the strategic direction of a number of different business areas or key priorities. You will implement operational strategy and take the lead for shaping its short‑and medium‑term directions. You will contribute strategic value by determining the focus areas for delivery through a broader lens and determine the timing of future growth in your business areas.
