Join us in playing a special role in the future of aged care. About the Role Our Planning and Rostering Specialists are responsible for optimising and publishing rosters for Estia Health homes. You’ll ensure efficient staff deployment by analysing and designing rostering strategies that align with organisational goals and comply with business rules, safety protocols, and relevant legislation. There will also be a strong focus on forecasting to develop capacity plans for the region, producing optimised rosters up to 12 months in advance. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic rostering plans that align with organisational goals Analyse historical data and forecast future staffing needs based on demand patterns, trends, and business requirements to ensure accurate and timely staffing Continuously review and optimise rostering processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance staff satisfaction within designated region Review and manage leave requests as well as track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to rostering and staffing, making data-driven decisions to improve performance Engage with key stakeholders and provide regular updates About you Demonstrated experience using the Humanforce rostering system, including creating and adjusting staff schedules, managing shift changes, monitoring compliance requirements, and supporting operational teams with roster-related queries. A degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Data Science, or Operations Management is desirable, and any relevant certifications would be advantageous Experience in understanding rostering and resource planning processes, theories, and methodologies Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience in applying industrial, regulatory rules or enterprise agreements within a business A high level of prioritisation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills and ability to ‘think outside the box’ and to work within multiple/conflicting time constraints Ability to analyse complex data sets and identify trends and patterns Practical experience with rostering or workforce management software and strong verbal and written communication skills Benefits available Discounted gym memberships at Goodlife and Fitness First Retail savings with the Blue Light Card Discounted car hire Employee Assistance Program for you and your family Free Wellbeing App to support your mental and physical health Novated leasing for vehicles Workplace banking support ACN membership discounts for nurses Discounted health insurance with nib health Discounted JB HiFi Estia Health is committed to embracing diversity, equity and inclusion in our workplaces.
