The program provides an opportunity for newly graduated Enrolled Nurses to undertake two rotations in a variety of units/departments during the 12 month program commencing in February 2026. As an Enrolled Nurse in Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital, you will be encouraged to share your clinical expertise and further develop your practice with the professional development opportunities available. As an Enrolled Nurse you will work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and retain responsibility for your own actions and remain accountable to the Registered Nurse for all allocated functions. Selection criteria Current registration or be eligible for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) prior to the agreed date for commencement of employment. Holds a Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification in medicines administration including the required units of study for administration of intravenous medication. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations. Current computer skills and ability to use health information system. Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement person-centred practice. Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload. Need more information?
