Benefits Salary: $85k - $90k + Super Parking on site Work‑life balance Responsibilities Manage complete payroll processing cycle including timesheet verification, leave management, and ensuring accurate processing of salary packaging arrangements. Prepare and analyse monthly payroll reconciliations, including superannuation contributions, PAYG withholding, and other statutory requirements while ensuring compliance with ATO regulations and reporting obligations. Develop and maintain payroll forecasting models, contributing to budgeting processes and providing detailed variance analysis to support financial planning and decision‑making. Process complex payroll calculations including termination payments, redundancies, and annual leave loading while ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant awards and enterprise agreements. Coordinate with external stakeholders including ATO, superannuation funds, and auditors while maintaining professional relationships and ensuring timely response to queries. Generate and analyse comprehensive payroll reports, identifying trends and providing recommendations for process improvements and cost optimisation opportunities. Maintain robust internal controls and documentation for payroll processes, ensuring compliance and contributing to audit preparations. Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of payroll‑related general ledger accounts. Act as a point of contact for payroll‑related queries, providing guidance to staff and management while ensuring excellent service delivery. To be considered for this role, you'll need 5‑6 years’ proven experience as a Payroll Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of Australian payroll operations. A background in accounting or finance is highly regarded, along with solid understanding of payroll legislation, tax requirements, and Modern Awards. You'll bring excellent communication and time‑management skills to succeed in this position.
