With a strong focus on applied mathematics, data science, machine learning, and engineering mathematics, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping engaging, future-focused learning experiences that support student success.As a Teaching Specialist (Academic), you will:* Deliver richly interactive and personalised learning experiences.* Champion educational innovation, advanced learning technologies, and learning analytics.* Participate in curriculum design, review and renewal, ensuring topics are contemporary, engaging and aligned with student needs.*This position is open to domestic candidates. Relocation support is available.***About You:**You are an innovative, student-centred educator with expertise in applied mathematics, data science, machine learning or a closely related field. You have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support diverse learners and work effectively with colleagues, industry and professional communities.You will also bring:* A PhD or EdD (or equivalent) in applied mathematics, data science, machine learning or a related discipline, with demonstrated excellence in tertiary teaching across these areas.* Experience delivering contemporary, high-quality learning, including online asynchronous teaching, effective assessment design, and the use of learning technologies.* Experience in continuum modelling and statistics, with expertise in first year topics and interdisciplinary teaching.* Tertiary qualifications in Education (desirable).**About the** **College of Science and Engineering**At the we believe in the power of science and engineering to solve real world problems.
