We are now seeking a passionate and experienced SIL Home Team Leader to support our main Supported Independent Living residence, currently home to 14 participants with mental health and psychosocial disabilities. About the Role As our SIL Home Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, person‑centred supports within our SIL environment currently supporting 14 residents with complex mental health and psychosocial needs. You will provide day‑to‑day leadership to Support Workers, ensure support delivery aligns with residents’ goals and safety needs, and uphold Enableability’s values of Connectivity, Humans First, and Empowerment . Working closely with our Senior Management & Directors, Quality Manager, and broader Support Coordination and Shared Services teams, you’ll help create a safe, empowering, and well‑managed home environment for participants while contributing to ongoing service improvement as Enableability expands its disability and aged care supports. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise SIL Support Workers, providing coaching, guidance, roster oversight, and performance feedback. Ensure high‑quality daily support to residents, aligned with NDIS requirements, behaviour support plans, individual goals, and specialised mental health support needs. Promote a safe and therapeutic home environment by maintaining strong WHS practices and incident management standards. Oversee documentation, daily notes, incident reporting, and compliance across systems (MYP, Teams, Outlook, internal reporting tools). Work closely with families, guardians, and allied health professionals to support participant outcomes. Manage maintenance requests and reports to ensure the home is safe and well‑maintained. Complete weekly grocery shopping aligned with participants’ monthly meal plan. Oversee PPE and stationery supplies, ensuring the site is stocked and safe. Manage proof of purchases, including monitoring team compliance and staff accountability. Plan and organise staff and participant monthly meetings, fostering communication and engagement. Prepare and submit monthly Team Leader reports to Senior Management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and ongoing priorities. Support onboarding and orientation of new team members within the residence. Collaborate with Senior Management on service improvements, audits, and quality initiatives. Provide hands‑on support when necessary. About You Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in the disability, mental health or community sector (SIL experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities or complex mental health needs strongly regarded). Proven leadership capability, either as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or acting leadership role. Strong understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct, Practice Standards, and SIL operational requirements. Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, motivate, and guide staff. High level of organisational skills, reliability, and initiative. Solid understanding of WHS, incident management, and safeguarding responsibilities. Ability to work both hands‑on and administratively to ensure smooth home operations. Why Join Enableability?
