Male Volunteer needed to visit kind elderly gentleman in LANE COVE If you are a male and are looking for a volunteer role that makes a positive difference to another person, reduces loneliness in our community, brings mutual joy and is flexible - then this is a role for you. MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteers share stories, help with a hobby, interest or activity, share a cuppa and a chat, enjoy a walk, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home through ongoing friendship. MS Plus believes in a person to person approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies. We look forward to hearing from you Details Category: Community Services Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: At least once per fortnight, any day of the week at any time that works for you. We ask for a minimum six-month commitment. Training: Self-paced online induction training, plus optional additional training.
