We are a family-owned food manufacturing company in Melbourne’s north. Operating for more than 25 years, we seek an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join our friendly environment. This is a full time, permanent role. Key Responsibilities Develop and drive a quality focused site Implement and manage Quality and Safety solutions Provide effective communication of quality policies and procedures Promote and lead a Safety First Culture Train and induct employees in relevant quality and safety processes Provide effective leadership and management of the site technical team Foster relationships with key suppliers to improve quality outcomes. Investigate and resolve complaints and non-compliances Oversee daily production quality control, document compliance and site hygiene. Lead regulatory and certification audits (DFSV and BRC). Co-ordinate and participate in New Product Development projects. Development and control of Product Specifications. Key Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/Technology or microbiology or equivalent Experience in a Quality Assurance/Leadership role Must have current HACCP certificate (essential) Food Industry experience preferred Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining a BRC quality system Excellent problem solving and analytical reasoning Strong results orientation including the ability to set aspirational targets and hold self and others accountable for results Ability to work in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
