Full-time Continuous Contract 37.5 hours per week $138,060 - $141,609 per annum Total Effective Package $168,129 - $172,158 About the role The Public Health Nurse (PHN) will be responsible for coordination and oversight of the Immunisation Program and Infection Control measures across Congress. This role will work closely with community members, health professionals and management to improve Aboriginal health outcomes with a focus on disease prevention and health education. Who are we looking for? Someone to complement our dynamic team with the following essential requirements Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and Immuniser qualified Demonstrated, highly developed clinical skills, knowledge and experience particularly in the area of Aboriginal primary health care Demonstrated recent clinical experience working in rural / remote health care setting with a particular focus on immunisations and infection control Highly developed ability to work effectively in a small multidisciplinary team and independently utilising time management skills to meet deadlines Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances and relationships with families, individuals, communities and health sector organisations Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, deliver, evaluate and report on projects and programs effectively, including grant management Proven ability to coordinate a public health program and to manage staff Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
