This is your chance to step into a fulfilling leadership role where no two days are the same and your work makes a difference in the lives of 50100 children including those with additional needs. As the OSHC Coordinator you’ll be the heart of the program designing meaningful experiences leading a passionate team and creating a positive nurturing space where every child feels seen safe and supported. Responsibilities Design and lead a tailored OSHC program that reflects childrens interests and needs especially those requiring additional support. Build strong positive relationships with children families schools and the wider community. Support childrens emotional social and behavioural development fostering confidence and independence. Lead and inspire your team to deliver high-quality fun and inclusive sessions every day. Maintain accurate records while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Connect with local networks and services to strengthen community impact and support systems. The hourly rate for the position is $37 (ACECQA approved Diploma or equivalent) and $41 p / hour (ACECQA Approved Degree or equivalent) ECEC retention payment 12% super. What We’re Looking For A deep passion for working with children especially those with additional needs Proven experience in education child development or inclusive programming A collaborative and empowering leadership style Strong communication and organisational skills Confidence using Microsoft Office Qikkids and digital admin tools A commitment to continuous improvement creativity and fun Whats in it for me Dual staffing policy when you work at a Y OSHC service you will always work alongside another staff member and never alone Free access to gyms recreation and aquatics centres across the state Discounts for your children to attend a Y Victoria OSHC service or Early Learning centre Supportive management teams Supportive inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions matter Split shift allowance if you work both before and after school in the same day you’ll receive additional loading on all rostered hours for the day Flexible working and rostering arrangements Career development mentoring and training opportunities The chance to make a lasting impact in a growing school community What do you need You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards a Diploma or tertiary-level qualification as determined by ACECQA (see the link below) You’ll need to have or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent) You’ll need to have or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Childrens Check employee check You’ll need to have or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor certificate within the first month of your employmentBe available for an online and onsite (in-person) interview There are a variety of qualifications that ACECQA has approved to work within OSHC ranging from education to community services to healthcare. All Coordinators must be at a minimum Diploma-level qualified.
