Safety Specialist - LaGrange, GA (Data Center/Logistics Center) Company Description Excel Staffing is a leading staffing service provider supporting diverse industries including Oil and Gas, Petro-Chemical, Construction, C‑Suite, Human Resources, Project management, software/IT, finance and accounting, Hospitality and Events, Warehouse and Logistics, among others. About the role The Safety Specialist will perform full‑time onsite construction safety related duties on datacenter builds throughout the United States. Prior safety experience is required. Immediate hiring needs are located in the cities listed below. Additional projects and needs will continue to grow across other locations throughout the US. Responsibilities Serve as an owners representative for safety Duties as required by 1926 OSHA Standards for Construction Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and general public Develop safety kick‑off presentations and conduct on‑site orientations and pre‑shift meetings Conduct daily site safety inspections, safety assessments and safety audits Investigate incidents and complete associated paperwork Make recommendations concerning the modification, improvement, or removal of any company equipment, facilities, or machinery that is hazardous to employee safety or health Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by management or customer Serve as company liaison with overseeing municipalities, OSHA, Insurance carriers and other regulatory agencies Maintain all safety related documentation Education / Qualifications Fluent in English, written and verbal OSHA 30 Hr. for Construction BCSP Board Certified College degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or equivalent Ability to teach and train others on safety programs (required) Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommending corrective action Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications 5‑10 years of construction safety experience, required 2‑4 years of high voltage experience, required Degree is strongly preferred Certification (CHST/CSP) is strongly preferred What we offer This project‑based opportunity has full‑time potential. The current project will be from 1‑2 years. The schedule will vary, however, the expectation for the position is a minimum of 40 hours weekly to 70 hours weekly. This is a 1099 contract straight time ; depending on experience, and ranges from $50‑55 per hour. You must reside in the area and be able to commute successfully for day‑to‑day operation.
