Northcott is an Early Childhood partner contracted to deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, Northern Sydney, and Western Sydney. The EC approach supports children aged 0-9 with developmental concerns, delays, and/or disabilities. What does this role look like daily? This role focuses on supporting First Nations children aged 0–9 with disabilities or developmental delays — empowering their independence, community inclusion, and overall quality of life. You’ll also: Build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations families, ensuring their voices and preferences are at the forefront Undertake observations of a child in their natural environment (face to face and/or remotely via video conference, where applicable) to assess their functioning and support needs Support First Nations families to establish meaningful goals & aspirations for their child and family and track progression toward goals Provide community connections and linkages to mainstream services in the local area to improve children’s access to the right supports and meaningful social participation Work within the framework of the Best Practice Guidelines in Early Intervention. This role is based in Sydney and involves travelling across the area to engage with families and communities in their own homes.
