The Role A fabulous opportunity exists in the role of In-house Senior Legal Counsel at Infinite Care, which is a for‑profit national residential provider with a large footprint in Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and now expanding into Victoria with 18 plus private care homes employing over 3,000 employees. This dynamic, fast paced and independent senior role will see you join a long‑term, highly respected and fun team who are based in Bundall, Gold Coast, at our Corporate Head office. Our team are small yet mighty and having a positive attitude and good sense of humour is a must Reporting to the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer, this is a perfect opportunity for a self‑motivated and dynamic legal professional who has the superpower of juggling multiple competing & time‑sensitive demands, highly engaging with internal and external stakeholders and devours reviewing and drafting legal documents - you know you love it If you are seeking to develop your career ever more in arguably one of Australia's fastest growing sectors, Aged Care is where your next move needs to be Key Scope of the role Reviewing, negotiating and drafting a range of commercial and legal documents. Providing assistance with mergers and acquisitions, development and construction of new facilities Work to resolve complex matters with support from the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer Manage requests from internal stakeholders and where necessary provide reports to senior management personnel DIspute Resolution and Commercial litigation, including preparing pleadings, affidavits, and other court documents. Corporate Governance, including risk & compliance, policies and procedures and ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory standards. Provide ad hoc legal advice through research and consultation to support the Infinite Care Group Analyse and identify legal risks and implications Coordinate and liaise with external legal advisors and consultants General administration requirements and ad hoc projects as directed Keep abreast of all new laws and regulations that may have implications to the Group About You Demonstrated 5+ years post admission experience and be Qualified to practice law in Queensland with relevant law experience gained from a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department. Proven knowledge of legal concepts and their application to achieve effective business outcomes Strong attention to detail, documentation, drafting skills and timely communication is essential Strong commercial acumen and ability to produce quality work output within quick turnaround times Strong time management and organisation skills with ability to multi‑task Ability to establish, maintain and enhance positive internal and external stakeholder relationships Effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and in written format Exposure to the Aged Care sector would be advantageous but not essential.
