They are looking for a new Senior Legal Counsel to join the team, with 8-15 years PQE, that has real estate experience and is based in Sydney. We’re seeking a proactive and motivated real estate lawyer to support a dynamic and growing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work across major property acquisitions in Australia and internationally, as well as broader commercial and strategic workstreams. The legal team is made up of high‑calibre lawyers, who have trained at top‑tier firms in Australia and internationally, and the senior lawyers are brilliant to deal with. This role will give you the chance to engage in impactful, high‑value work with constant opportunities for professional growth. You will become part of a high‑performing, supportive and innovative team and contribute to an exciting and fast‑paced global business. Salary is flexible with no strict budget. About the Role Lead and support the negotiation, drafting and review of real estate acquisition and disposal documents. Work closely with senior stakeholders in the business. Manage and instruct external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Support due diligence processes, including overseeing property, planning, commercial and financing workstreams. Assist with broader legal projects as required within a sophisticated, well‑resourced legal function. What type of person will be successful? Admitted as a lawyer in Australia. Practising as a property / real estate lawyer for 8-15 years in private practice or in‑house. Strong technical drafting and transactional skills. Excellent analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management abilities. Collaborative, adaptable, and self‑motivated. Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
