The Opportunity You’ll have the opportunity to join an exciting team as a Plumbing Sales Specialist with room to grow under the Business Manager and the Mitcham Team. Must have plumbing wholesale experience or plumbing product knowledge – this will allow Business Manager to be out on the road and focus on business development. Sales experience is not necessary, but desirable. Daily Outlook Assist trade customers at the counter with product advice, quotes, and orders. Assist retail and trade customers with product selection and orders. Develop genuine relationships with builders and plumbers. Build and manage customer accounts alongside the Branch Manager. Conduct outbound customer calls and develop new business in the South‑East suburbs market. Process sales and manage accounts. Build relationships with new customers – business development and external engagement. Branch & Operational Support Support branch operations: picking orders, deliveries, trade promotions. Support a collaborative team to ensure customer needs are met efficiently. Assist the Manager and “ground the business.” Capable of supporting and guiding the small team. What We Need Proven success in a senior branch/assistant role (plumbing wholesale ideal, adjacent trade wholesale also welcome). Strong background in plumbing, trade sales, or a related industry. Proactive, personable, and willing to jump in and help others. Expert‑level plumbing knowledge; someone who can lead by example. Suited to someone wanting to move off the tools into a long‑term career path. Senior‑level capability to support the sales process and team operations. Bubbly personality with energy and enthusiasm. Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly with tradespeople. Experience in trade sales, showroom sales, or general sales support is beneficial. Sales‑oriented mindset to support the Business/Branch Manager with sales and account management (as team members are not naturally sales‑driven).
