Job Description Our Opportunity We are currently looking for a Hygiene Team Member / Cleaner to join our Darwin site. The Hygiene Team Member is an integral member of the Manufacturing team. The incumbent will make a strong contribution to a high performing production team and team culture within Goodman Fielder. Shift patterns available : Monday 11: 00am-5:30pm Tuesday 12: 00pm-8:30pm Wednesday 9: 00am-5:30pm Thursday day 12: 00pm-8:30pm Friday 12: 00pm-8:30pm Key responsibilities Report all accidents and incidents. Report any unsafe work areas practices. Reduction in SI Zero LTI. Co-operate with and participate in all programs that ensure a safe and healthier working environment, for example, legislative required training (LOTO, manual handling, noise awareness, chemical usage & handling etc) Complete all cleaning and hygiene activities as per the site Master Cleaning and Sanitation schedule. Keep timely and accurate records of all cleaning and sanitation activity. Ensure cleaning activities comply with all food safety and quality procedures i.e. loose item controls, foreign material controls and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain all cleaning equipment and tools i.e. floor scrubbers, high pressure cleaners, foamers, foggers to high level of operation and report any deficiencies to the Maintenance team as required. Participate in all mandatory training relating to site Food Safety, Quality, cleaning and hygiene and chemical handling. Ensure compliance with required Quality, GMP, BRC, Customer Specifications (e.g. Coles; Woolworths), Hygiene and Food Safety policies, standards and procedures. Assist as required with the development of Standard Operating Procedures related to cleaning and hygiene of the plant, equipment and general plant. Report any equipment failures to the Manufacturing or Maintenance teams where there is potential for physical contamination or potential downtime The successful applicant will have The ability to trouble shoot problems Strong verbal and written communication skills The ability to make decisions in all types of situations Works well in a team environment Self-motivated and enthusiastic Having confined space, working at heights, processing and running plant experience will be advantageous What can we offer you?
