Decus Engineering is a diverse Structural, Mechanical and Piping contractor delivering both workshop fabrication and site installation works for various clients across the resources and infrastructure sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to join our team. About the role This role will report into and work closely with the Managing Director to ensure quality project delivery. We are looking for a strong leader who is able to manage on-site construction activities. This role will involve working on remote client sites. Responsibilities Maintain and improve a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to enhance performance in terms of quality, safety & productivity. Manage, mentor and develop the team to ensure retention, recruitment and training of high-quality tradespeople. Co-ordinate resources, schedules and activities to provide cost outcomes. Apply HSEQ processes and procedures to ensure minimum training standards are adhered to & all ensuring all activities are executed safely, with quality and on time. Communicate with suppliers & customers. About You Minimum 5 years experience working in a construction environment. Qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter or extensive fabrication and construction experience. Strong supervision skills and experience. Thorough understanding of regulations, legislations and occupational health and safety protocols. Highly developed people management skills with an ability to communicate at all levels. A high attention to detail and self-motivated. Results-oriented. Demonstrated experience in delivering continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
