These roles will not only support vulnerable individuals through family law/family violence or civil law matters but will also have opportunities to contribute to community education and law reform and advocacy while working in a values‑led environment. Responsibilities Delivering legal advice, casework and representation in family law/family violence or civil law Participating in community legal education and stakeholder engagement initiatives Providing holistic support in collaboration with allied community services Representing clients in courts and tribunals as appropriate Maintaining accurate records and complying with professional standards Participating in law reform and advocacy initiatives as relevant This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a committed lawyer who wants to make a difference in regional and rural communities. Qualifications & Skills Hold (or be eligible to hold) an unrestricted practising certificate in Australia. Court advocacy experience in family law, family violence, or civil matters. Familiarity with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Magistrates' Court processes. Interest or experience in cross‑jurisdictional issues such as tenancy, credit, debt, or family violence. Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and working with disadvantaged communities. Resilience, values‑aligned, and eager to use your legal skills to create real impact. Enthusiasm, commitment, and a positive attitude; collaborative team player; adaptability; compassion and clarity when supporting people during difficult times. Hold a current C Class Driver’s Licence and either hold or be eligible to obtain a Working with Children Clearance and a clear National Police Check. Weekly travel to regional communities is also required (with fleet vehicles provided).
