Site Supervisor | Water Infrastructure

Lead water infrastructure projects across South QLD. Manage sites, crews, and safety in a hands‑on leadership role with Downer. THE ROLE Downer's Water team is looking for an experienced Supervisor to manage the construction of major pipeline, water & wastewater projects throughout South Queensland . Based at our Mango Hill or Maroochydore office , you will lead daily operations, including civil & pipeline works, as well as shutdown activities, ensuring that our teams and contractors deliver safe, high‑quality, and efficient results at each site. This role offers a combination of field leadership and planning, supporting the delivery of essential infrastructure that keeps our communities running. We currently have several ongoing projects and an expanding pipeline of work that requires a strong and motivated team to ensure success. Some of the key responsibilities include: Supervise daily operations, construction, and shutdown works across 1-3 sewer projects. Coordinate resources, subcontractors, and schedules to meet project and compliance requirements. Drive a strong Zero Harm culture, ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery. ABOUT YOU You're a practical, safety‑focused leader who thrives in a hands‑on environment. With a background in water, wastewater, or infrastructure , you're confident managing multiple sites, guiding teams, and maintaining high performance standards. Proven supervisory experience in water, wastewater, or utilities projects. Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills. Solid understanding of STP operations, pump stations, or related mechanical/electrical systems. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
