Accounts Officer

Attwood Marshall Lawyers – Coolangatta QLD Attwood Marshall Lawyers are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Officer to join our busy Accounts Department of 4 in our head office in Coolangatta on a full‑time basis (in‑office). The successful candidate will support 75 staff in delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. We believe our support teams are the lifeblood of the business and play a crucial part in fulfilling the intent of our Firm, which is to help our clients and change their lives for the better. The Role Reporting to the Accounts Manager and CFO, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer (legal experience highly desired) to join our dedicated Accounts Department, providing exceptional accounting services to our staff and clients. Responsibilities Complete daily bank reconciliations across trust and general bank accounts in LEAP and Xero Daily processing of Trust and General account receipts and payments via LEAP, Xero and Commbiz Provide clients, staff, management and stakeholders with accurate and timely accounting information as required Assist in the weekly processing of payroll and superannuation via Xero Management of overdue accounts Assist in the EOM procedures Qualifications Minimum 3+ years in an Accounts Officer role (legal and trust accounting experience highly preferred) Experience using LEAP and Xero Exposure to law society regulations and annual audits Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping or Business Administration Understanding of GST and general accounting principles A high attention to detail, transactional accuracy, and the ability to problem solve, often under demanding situations Excellent communication and client liaison skills Proactive and responsible with a strong work ethic The flexibility to visit any of our offices (Coolangatta, Kingscliff, Robina and Southport) if required Ability to prioritise competing tasks in a demanding office environment, often within strict deadlines About Attwood Marshall Lawyers Attwood Marshall Lawyers is an established, reputable law firm that traces its origins in the Coolangatta/Tweed Heads area to when Eric Attwood set up his legal practice after the Second World War in 1946.
