Power and Water Corporation (Power and Water) is a Northern Territory Government‑owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and a range of diverse environmental conditions, from the arid central desert to the tropical northern monsoon. Power and Water generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations. We are looking for a Remote Development Officer to join our Power Engineering group. In this position you will support the Negotiated Connections and Transmission team to deliver overhead transmission/distribution powerline design projects across remote and regional areas of the Northern Territory. This role requires travel to remote and regional areas of the Northern Territory by both road and air. Review electrical designs from stakeholders to ensure compliance with AS7000 and internal Power and Water standards. Utilise project management expertise to deliver projects across remote and regional areas. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members. Support overhead distribution and transmission projects. Proven experience and knowledge of overhead distribution design principles. Proficiency in using AS7000 compliance and internal standards. Strong communication and project management skills. Power and Water values diversity in the workplace.
