For more information on Special Measures, go to the OCPE website. Primary objective Develop and implement training programs and provide quality training and support to staff across all regions. The Staff Development Officer ensures the ongoing training and development needs of all staff are identified, recorded, and actioned. Key duties and responsibilities Develop and review training plans relevant to the work unit and formulate individual staff training plans identified in feedback, progression, and performance conversation reports. Develop, coordinate, and deliver contextualised training programs to ensure staff have knowledge and skills to deliver excellent customer service and consistent and accurate information to clients on services delivered by the business unit, including driver licence and vehicle registration services. Develop and maintain training material for staff on operational requirements of each role, including business processes, software systems, employment obligations under Workplace health and Safety laws and Northern Territory Public Sector responsibilities. Maintain up to date knowledge on business unit policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure training and development methods remain contemporary. Be a central point of reference for advice to staff members throughout the NT on legislation interpretation, policies, procedures, processes, and computer applications relating to the business unit. Selection criteria Essential Proven experience in developing, coordinating, delivering and evaluating staff training packages. Proven ability in developing and implementing Staff Development Strategic Plans and identifying staff training and development requirements to meet individual and organisational goals and quality control processes. Proven time management skills, ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a diverse and demanding customer service environment. Highly developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and clients at all levels. Proven experience in maintaining confidentiality within a professional regulatory environment. Current C class driver licence and ability and willingness and to travel within the NT, including remote areas. An ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures. Desirable Tertiary Qualification in Adult or Vocational Education or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment High level knowledge of driver licensing and vehicle registration policy and procedures.
