The Role: The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ABC Toowoomba depot. This role supports the sales team and the logistics coordinator while ensuring the yard runs efficiently through effective planning and smooth execution. Key responsibilities include: Managing the receipt of containers into the depot — including internal transfers and de-hires Handling both walk-in and phone sales enquiries Preparing containers for hire and sale Coordinating dispatch in collaboration with the transport team Oversee & maintain quality control procedures for incoming & outgoing equipment Reporting back to the procurement & leadership team Facilitate & oversee the ongoing maintenance & repair of all plant on site Optimising depot space & functionality on an ongoing basis Maintaining a safe work environment and following all WH&S rules and guidelines Personal Skills Positive, friendly and enthusiastic personality Willingness to take responsibility and work independently Ability to work effectively as part of a team and actively contribute in all day-to-day tasks Strong attention to detail Be well organised, punctual and reliable All required training will be provided on the job while working closely with the Site Manager. Experience with shipping containers & the ability to operate a forklift is ideal however not essential.
