The Hotel Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 19 function venues and extensive food-and-beverage facilities, the property is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide. The Role As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all aspects of the restaurant, from front-of-house to back-of-house operations. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional managerial skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. About you Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in a high-volume dining establishment. A solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service and customer service principles. Proficiency in financial analysis, and cost control. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Current Valid RSA Possesses the capability to lead and mentor an enthusiastic team, instilling a sense of dedication and shared commitment towards the success of the venue Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong negotiation skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail What’s in it for you The opportunity to work at an iconic Cairns luxury hotel.
