Overview As Nurse Unit Manager you will provide leadership and direction to ensure a safe, evidence‑based service. You will operationalise strategic plans, manage patient flow, and integrate nursing practices within the unit. Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for the development and maintenance of a high performing, evidence‑based, safe and effective medical oncology service. Operationalise strategic plans and department direction within the medical oncology ward. Provide operational input into the development of strategic plans. Accountable for efficient and effective management of the ward, patient flow, and integration of nursing practices. Lead, develop and manage a multidisciplinary team, optimising patient flow. Manage financial and human resources. Improve health care through quality improvement and implementation of evidence‑based care. Qualifications & Experience Nursing Unit Management or In‑Charge experience in an acute/subacute facility and/or ambulatory setting. Ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity. Relevant postgraduate management qualifications or experience, or working towards. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team in a multidisciplinary environment. Demonstrated ability to manage financial and human resources. Commitment to improving health care through quality improvement and evidence‑based care. Desirable: Demonstrated cancer care experience. Remuneration $69.15 per hour + super + annual leave loading. Incentive: Up to $2,000 relocation incentive by negotiation. Benefits Work‑life balance with 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts with ADO. On‑site parking.
