The Nurse Unit Manager will operationalise strategic plans and department direction within Medical Oncology Ward, this includes providing operational input into the development of these plans. Additionally, the Nurse Unit Manager is accountable for the efficient and effective management of the Medical Oncology Ward, patient flow though the unit, and the integration of nursing practices within Calvary Mater Newcastle. Relevant postgraduate management qualifications or experience or working towards. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team in a multidisciplinary environment with a focus on optimising patient flow. Demonstrated ability to manage financial and human resources. Commitment to improving health care through quality improvement and implementation of evidenced based care. Desirable: Demonstrated cancer care experience.
