Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest in Offender Health) - Lotus Glen Correction Centre Full time, Contract, Part time, Casual/Temporary The ideal candidate will be a medical practitioner with an interest in Offender Health and General Practice. He/she will work in close collaboration with the Mareeba Hospital medical team and can utilise opportunities to participate in general practice within the hospital and/or the emergency department if so desired. LGCC is a male‑only facility that accommodates approximately 1,100 prisoners, many from First Nations communities. The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area and provides a wide range of primary, acute and specialist services. An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest) to provide high‑quality care to Lotus Glen Correctional Centre patients. Work in partnership with other Queensland Health agencies and external health providers to maintain a coordinated approach to the management of patients across the continuum.
