Our client is a global leader in complementary medicine and food products based in Macquarie Park. They are currently seeking an Entry Level Applications Technician to join their Food Bioscience Team. Primary responsibilities will involve providing pilot plant support and conducting analytical tasks, including chemical and microanalysis, working on fresh fermented dairy products, cheese, and plant-based fermented products. Key Responsibilities Making samples in the pilot plant according to the recipe provided After training, independently operate the pilot plant Perform basic microbiological and chemical analysis on finished products Prototype creation, Phage analysis Realize reports and presentations on the trials done Support the team for all the pilot plant and lab activities Organize and run the sensory test with the samples prepared Manage ingredients inventory, ordering supplies, product shipping & receiving Support the Application team during customer workshops and innovation days providing all the material required Benefits Ongoing full-time hours, Monday to Friday No weekend work Excellent training provided Work with an innovative company experiencing rapid growth Close to public transport Immediate start available Potential to evolve in to an ongoing permanent position Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in food technology, food engineering or related discipline. Dairy specialization is a plus Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in production environment Experience in product development, and lab activities. Experience in fermented dairy products and/or in cheese products Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to prepare and deliver technical documents professionally and effectively. Ability to describe findings and issues effectively.
