Job Overview Currently seeking a proactive Leading Hand to join our Yard team IMMEDIATELY Keen on a work life balance? Your afternoons and weekends free to spend quality time with family or friends? We are seeking a motivated Yard Leading Hand to join our team based in Landsdale. Reporting to 2x Directors, you must be reliable, proactive and eager to lead a small team who take pride in all aspects of their job and safety. JV Scaffolding is an established company who work on various Perth Metro projects with our longstanding clients, reputable construction companies and builders, in the commercial and residential scaffolding industry. Responsibilities Receiving all scaffolding orders from Directors & Supervisors for various sites Coordinating loading & dispatch promptly with other Supervisors/Directors to meet delivery schedules Ensuring scaffolding orders are correct prior to dispatch & loaded on the relevant vehicles for site Lead, manage & assist the yard personnel on all duties: deliveries/returns, loading/unloading the trucks, servicing fittings, using power tools for timber & steel, & be hands on with all aspects of the yard Ensuring the yard is clean, safe & well-organised Keeping accurate records of orders & deliveries on the Company’s computer program Record keeping of stock/equipment, prechecks & maintenance Adhering to safety procedures and company standards Relief driving of the Ute/Truck for deliveries if required Communicating with the Office for any yard requirements (eg. PPE, waste removal & vehicle repairs) Any further directions/instructions as provided by Management Qualifications Forklift Licence (High Risk) Manual driver’s license (HR preferred) Previous experience within the Scaffolding industry Demonstrated ability to plan/manage a busy yard with proven leadership & communication skills Demonstration of Safe Work Practices Availability & Location Be available to work Monday to Friday 6.30am – 3.00pm Reside in Perth with Full Working Rights Apply If this sound like a role for you, please click the “APPLY” button now with your CV and your availability to start.
