Position VE Teacher, Dental Technology – RMIT University Overview Part‑time 30 hours per week, fixed‑term 1 year. Salary VE academic level T3.1 to T5 + 17% superannuation. Based at Melbourne CBD campus, may be required to work at other campuses of the University. Responsibilities Deliver course content, assess students and supervise progress in selected courses. Evaluate and enhance course materials, delivery methods, including online approaches, and student assessments. Collaborate with external organisations, industry groups and RMIT colleagues to align vocational competence. Develop and implement teaching programmes, assess student learning and maintain accurate records. Identify students at risk and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes. Assist in enhancing programme services using industry standards and feedback. Provide pre‑course advice and support student selection and induction. Engage in industry promotion, build connections and participate in consultancy projects. Maintain quality assurance processes and records to meet ASQA and regional standards. Contribute to strategic plans and engage in professional development. Qualifications Certificate IV TAE. Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Dental Technology or similar. Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy. Demonstrated competency‑based assessment skills. Ensure current vocational competence meets the education level delivered. Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge. Ability to diagnose learning problems and propose solutions. Team‑working and constructive collaboration. Proficiency in relevant information and communication technologies.
