The Drunken Admiral is a fun, dynamic and fast paced A La Carte dining establishment. Previous experience working in a similar environment is essential. The restaurant is open from 5pm every day of the week all year round. We are very proud of the team and their ability to take great care of customers whilst working seamlessly together with the rest of the team, in both the kitchen and on the floor. The role is varied and the experience you will gain whilst working at this restaurant will prove invaluable in any future jobs elsewhere. Open every night from 5pm. Candidates must have: Flexible and good availability; Be available for at least the next 6+ months; Qualifications & experience Proven work experience in an A La Carte dining restaurant environment Minimum 6-12 months of A La Carte dining experience required Ability to prepare and serve beers, wines, soft drinks and cocktails Should be able to bridge (i.e. carry 3 plates at a time) Comfortable working under pressure and multi‑tasking in a dynamic and fast paced working environment Must be flexible in terms of availability Availability required for most evenings and weekends Excellent people skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team RSA certified Managerial experience is preferred Tasks & responsibilities Greet customers on arrival and upon leaving Show customers to their tables and explain our variety of menu and specials options Answer the phone and handle bookings and enquiries Advise on the best food and drink choices for each customer and answer questions Take orders and use our POS system to pass the orders to the kitchen team. Work with the kitchen team to handle dietary requirements and special requests Take orders for drinks, prepare them and deliver them to tables, including tea and espresso coffee making Attend to tables and provide excellent customer service Check back on tables and resolve any issues Deliver bills and accept payment Work diligently to achieve an outstanding customer service experience Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
