About The Role And Team We have an exciting new opportunity for an Associate to join our thriving Statutory Insurance – Workers' Compensation practice working with a highly regarded team based in our Newcastle office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ post‑admission experience in personal injury claims, specifically Workers' Compensation. This is a genuine growth role, offering the opportunity for clear career progression within a supportive and nurturing environment. The Statutory Insurance NSW – Workers' Compensation section is a defendant insurance legal team with approximately 50 people across the Sydney and Newcastle office. This role will allow you to work closely with partners and other team members across Sydney and Newcastle. Responsibilities Work on personal injury claims, specifically Workers’ Compensation. Collaborate with partners and team members across Sydney and Newcastle. Qualifications Minimum three years of post‑admission experience. Experience working in the personal injury space, specifically Workers’ Compensation. Experience on the defendant side is ideal; however, candidates with a plaintiff background who are keen to move into a defendant practice will also be considered. The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a supportive and collaborative team. Clear, concise legal writing skills and strong attention to detail.
